Traditional Leyli Nights

Leyli is an entertainment offering the regional Reyhani folk dances and delivering traditions to the next generations. Mardin Museum Managament currently organizes this entertainment every Saturday where people perform the Reyhani folk dance, dancing individually, squatting on their knees with their open palms adressing “The Pray for God’s Grace”. Reyhani music includes various emotions such as rejining with your beloved ones, longing, sorrow and happiness.
